(a)    Cosine Sound will, from time to time, receive and store personal information you submit to our website, provided to us directly or given to us in other forms.

(b)    The website is hosted by Squarespace, with email subscription services provided by MailerLite. You may provide basic information such as your full name, phone number, address and email address to enable us to send you information using Squarespace or MailerLite services, provide updates and process your product or service order.

(c)    We may collect additional information at other times, including but not limited to, when you provide feedback, when you provide information about your personal or business affairs, change your content or email preference, respond to surveys and/or promotions, provide financial or credit card information, or communicate with our customer support.

(d) Additionally, we may also collect any other information you provide while interacting with us. Squarespace collects personal data when you visit this website, including:

(i) Information about your browser, network and device. Other information can include web pages visited prior to coming this website, web pages you view while on this website and your I.P. address. Squarespace needs the data to run this website, and to protect and improve its platform and services. Squarespace analyzes the data in a de-personalized form.

(ii)    Personal information from you to fulfill orders when you buy something on this website. We may collect information like your, billing and shipping address, Details relating to your purchase, email address, name, phone number. As you go through checkout, this site may auto-complete your shipping and billing address by sharing what you type with the Google Places API and returning suggestions to you to improve your checkout experience. 

(ii) When you submit information to this website via a webform. We collect the data requested in the webform in order to track and respond to your submissions. In addition to sharing this with Squarespace, we also share this information with MailerLite, Google Mail, Google Sheets and Pabbly Connect.

(iv) Personal data for share buttons. This website includes share buttons which enable you to share pages or other content from this site to the following third party services: Twitter.com, Facebook.com, LinkedIn.com, Reddit.com, Pintrest.com and Tumblr.com. If you click a share button, these third parties may receive your personal data, including: information about your browser, network and device, details about the web page or content you shared or proposed to share and your IP address.

(v) This website collects personal data when you post a comment (via the Blog), including: your name (which will be displayed as part of your posted comment), your email address (optional, to let you know if someone replies to your comment) and your website URL (optional). 

(vi) This website includes “likes” functionality on some blog posts which enables you to “like” a post. This website collects personal data when you like a post to try to prevent the same person from liking the same post during the same visit, including Information about your browser, network and device; details about the web page or content you shared or proposed to share and your IP address.

(vii) This website serves font files from and renders fonts using Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts. To properly display this site to you, these third parties may receive personal information about you, including: Information about your browser, network, or device, information about this site and the page you’re viewing on it and your IP address.

(e) We may use Google Analytics to collect information for statistical purposes and to learn about site traffic. For more information, refer to section 13. Website b) Cookies (iv).

3. How we collect your personal information

(a) Cosine Sound collects personal information from you in a variety of ways, including when you interact with us electronically or in person, when you access our website and when we engage in business activities with you. We may receive personal information from third parties. If we do, we will protect it as set out in this Privacy Policy.

(b) By providing us with personal information, you consent to the supply of that information subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

(a) Cosine Sound may use personal information collected from you to provide you with information about our products or services. We may also make you aware of new and additional products, services and opportunities available to you.

(b) Cosine Sound will use personal information only for the purposes that you consent to. This may include to:

(i) provide you with products and services during the usual course of our business activities;

(ii) administer our business activities;

(iii) manage, research and develop our products and services;

(vi)  communicate via email your product purchase information after visiting and/or purchasing from our online store; and,

(vii) investigate any complaints.

If you withhold your personal information, it may not be possible for us to provide you with our products and services or for you to fully access our website.

(c) If you are an email subscriber, Cosine Sound will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to continue relevant services. We may keep the information until you:

(i) decide to unsubscribe with the available prompts;

(ii) request it to be deleted by contacting Cosine Sound or;

(iii) no longer require the services.

(d) We may disclose your personal information to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena, warrant, legal proceedings or in response to a law enforcement agency request.

(e) If there is a change of control in our business or a sale or transfer of business assets, we reserve the right to transfer to the extent permissible at law our user databases, together with any personal information and non-personal information contained in those databases.

(a) Cosine Sound may disclose your personal information to any of our employees, officers, insurers, professional advisers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.

(a) Information that we collect may from time to time be stored, processed in or transferred between parties or sites located in countries outside of Australia. These may include, but are not limited to Australia, The United States of America ("The USA"). 

(b) We and our other group companies have offices and/or facilities in Australia and The USA. Transfers to each of these countries will be protected by appropriate safeguards, these include one or more of the following: the use of standard data protection clauses adopted or approved by the European Commission which you can obtain from the European Commission Website; the use of binding corporate rules, a copy of which you can obtain from Cosine Sound's Data Protection Officer. 

(c) The hosting facilities for our website are situated in Australia and The USA. (a) Cosine Sound is committed to ensuring that the information you provide to us is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure information and protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. The websites host, Squarespace, features several security measures, including SSL certificates for domains, extensive Data Privacy measures, 2FA, Login Activity, PCI Compliance for payments and 24/7 security monitoring.

(b) The email subscription services provided by MailerLite also offer numerous data protection measures, including but not limited to, data center security certificate (ISO 27001), HTTPS/TLS encryption, data security team as well as industry standard anti-virus.

(c) Where we employ data processors to process personal information on our behalf, we only do so on the basis that such data processors comply with the requirements under the GDPR and that have adequate technical measures in place to protect personal information against unauthorised use, loss and theft.

(d) The transmission and exchange of information is carried out at your own risk. We cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to us, or receive from us. Although we take measures to safeguard against unauthorised disclosures of information, we cannot assure you that personal information that we collect will not be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

(a) You may request details of personal information that we hold about you in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and to the extent applicable the EU GDPR.
